This is a beautiful yet creepy story about the unconditional love between a dog and a cat. Oscar the dog and Arthur the cat were best of friends. They were inseparable. When 17-year-old Arthur kicked the bucket Oscar didn't know what to do with himself. Arthur's owners buried him in their garden.

Oscar must have seen this, because in the dead of night he went out into the garden and dug Arthur up. He carried Arthur to the basket they shared and gently cleaned him up. The owners found Oscar curled up next to Arthur's dead body the next morning.

The owners have securely buried Arthur and got Oscar a new kitten playmate named Limpet. Nobody will replace Arthur. You hear that Limpet? NOBODY! You can purr the purr and show off your cuteness, but Oscar's heart will always be with Arthur.

The Super Bowl may be bringing real talent to their halftime show. TV Guide's Michael Ausiello reports that Paula Abdul is in talks with Fox to perform during the Super Bowl. Paula may perform her new song with fellow American Idol judge Randy Jackson. They are in rehearsals for the video right now. It's off his upcoming Music Vol. 1 CD.

If this news is true Paula will be joining Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Mary .J Blige and Maroon 5 as Super Bowl performers.

I will only be into this if Paula scraps her duet with Randy and instead performs her greatest hits wearing her old outfits like the one above. They can brush Arsenio Hall off from whatever tomb he's living in and bring him back as Scat Cat. They also need to liquor Paula up before the performance and turn off her backtrack. Paula singing live and drunk would be the best show ever.

I'm guessing this is all just a rumor and not happening. That means they better get a camera crew over to wherever Paula's at, because when she learns she isn't doing the Super Bowl she's going to have an epic meltdown. She doesn't take bad news lightly.

23-year-old Sandy Bergen from Saskatchewan, Canada sued her meth dealer and won. Sandy and her family filed the lawsuit in 2005 after she overdosed, had a heart attack and was in a coma for 11 days. Ok, I supported Marie Osmond during this seasons Dancing With The Stars. I was right there with her during her fainting spell, her fathers death and the re-hab outting of her under age son who should have had anonimity and privacy but I also feel these things were what kept her on the show so long but now, I'm a little disturbed...see for yourself.

I know that's what usually happens, ungrateful people suck you dry then toss you aside but not before blaming you for everything that ever went wrong in their entire life.

Why? Why do I let myself get in involved? Why do I agree to play Miss Dear Abby when I know I'll just get burned? What a sucky day, no chocolate and I had maybe an hours sleep last night because I was up all night writing the apology to end all apology letters ( even though I was right ) only to get no response from her all day.

Trust me on this...never ever give anyone any advice (ack, there I go giving advice again), never ever agree to help them with their problems...they will only fuck you in the end...without lube!!!!!!!

As you may have noticed, I rarely post anymore. I'm just so tired and stretched in so many directions that what use to be a stress outlet is now a stress just to think about so I asked myself, why did I first start to blog? Well, I did it to vent but as time went on I vented less and less and became an entertainer. Yes, I love to laugh and I like posting funny and bizarre crap. But also as time has gone on I have 3 other blogs plus a myspace page and I don't really vent on any of them mainly because I don't want to bore anybody with my whining and because as much as I want things to change, I can't figure out how to change them so what's the point, right?

Who am I? Where am I going? What do I want out of life? I haven't a clue. I'm loose on the highway without a Thomas Guide asking people who are just as lost as I am, how to get there. I find it funny that most of my close friends see me as the voice of reason, their pillar of strength, the one with all the answers...if they only had a clue....lol

So....what the hell am I going to post on here or should I just say fuck it and dump the whole thing? Naaaa, I'd just miss it and make yet another one. I do think i'll vent more though, it feels good even if it does bore people. Hell for all I know it might make others not feel so bad for being as lost as I am or better yet, maybe someone out there with a kickass GPS will help me find my way.

I'm painting the living room to tone it down. The green was just too over powering and if I am going to sell this house come spring, it needs to be less harsh so I went with light neutral wall colors and kept the same draperies. Why not get new drapes? What, do I look like i'm made of money? Anyway, so I went with a cream color wall to brighten up this small, dark room and found some cream colored hand made paper like before. 1. I love Death Metal. Yes, I know I look like I should be listening to John Denvers greatest hits album but I really dig the hard stuff and Darrell from 5 Finger Death Punch is soooo hot!!!

2. I have immense fear of my future. Growing old, being alone, finances. Will I end up in a state home? Will I be able to afford both food AND medicine? Will I have to eat cat food and ride one of those stupid little rascals and worst yet, will I have to appear in a commerical for the damn thing singing "You made me love you" just to get one for free since i'll be too poor to buy one? Getting older all alone scares the hell out of me.

3. I can't touch paper after washing my hands unless I put a generous amount of hand lotion on them first. The feel of paper on my clean hands freaks me out and I get creepy chills. You might as well pour spiders on my head.

4. I'm not really as nice and giving as I seem, I just never learned how to say no to people. So this means I'm often doing things for people that I really don't want to do and I hate that about me. I'm spineless I tell you.

5. The song Merry Christmas Darling by The Carpenters makes me cry my eyes out. For some reason that song makes me cry over all the mistakes I've made in my adult life that has brought me to where I am now. I HAVE to change the channel when that song comes on...simply have to.

Feeling under the weather today. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich for lunch yesterday and instead I got this chipolte sauce all over it that was really nasty...so nasty it made me sick. Stay away from chipolte...just say no!

I've been getting crank or prank calls for several months now. I know what his name is, it's Charles Auburn. I know what his number is, it's 760-568-5882. What I don't understand is why he won't leave me alone. It started a few months back with him asking for someone who didn't live here but had my last name. "No, there's no Mike Smith here. No, no Wayne Smith, no Steve Smith either.....you have the wrong number." Then he called back and kept asking me if I knew all these different people with my last name. I even got out my phone book and helped him find one of them and gave him the number. Since then he and all his family keep calling back looking for yet more people so I finally said, "I don't know these people, it's not even my name, I just kept my ex's last name to piss off the new wife, ok? Leave me alone."

Well they still call me several time a day almost every day. I've had 3 calls so far this morning. They won't leave me alone. I've screamed to the top of my lungs in the phone, I've used every fowl word in the book, I've simply clicked the phone on then off again before they could say a word...nothing works. I don't want to spend the money to have their number blocked, they would just use another phone anyway.

Their not threatening me so I can't call the police. What would you do? How do you get rid of phone pests?

Oh what a relief it is to get back to normal around here. Why do mothers drive us crazy? Is it in the mothers handbook or something? It was constant complaining from the minute she got off the plane just like last time and about the craziest things. First our squirrels are the wrong color, then all the toilet seats in the restaurants are too short. Everything is too expensive and she gained so much weight she can't do stairs or hardly any walking and up here, that's all there is to do so she wound up sitting in front of the tv most of the time and even bitched about that because all her shows come on too late here. She thought many of the houses up here that I think are cute and quaint, look like slums to her.

I took her to lunch with friends and we were laughing and having a good time and then she proceeded to tell them about her alcholic father...dead silence at the table. Then for dessert, a dear friend said we had the same chins and I wanted to die right then and there. We do not look alike...not not not!!!!

So after 5 days of complaints, she's on a plane for home and I can exhale again. I love my Mom but distance lends enchantement!!!!!

I'm actually looking forward to getting back to work!

Ok, so that was a joke but my company isn't joking now. About 6 months ago, all the employees had to fill out an anonymous questionairre about the company and how we felt about different aspects of it. One section was devoted to our management and oh boy did we let them have it. The Gravel Pit employees graded them so harshly, the upper management has decided to send all the middle management to classes for the next 5 weeks to teach them how to be better managers. Um...so why isn't upper management going too?

I don't get it. You all know how Upper Management is. Well see for yourself.

Upper management is what groomed the middle management to be the way they are so wouldn't it make sense to start at the top and work down?

Normally I would be laughing at the fact that my boss has to do this but what it really means is I will be covering for him and working twice as hard while he's gone...where's that damn survey again!!!!

Pathologist Cyrl Wecht said the drugs caused the cardiac dysrhythmia. He received the reports today. Zoloft and Lexapro are anti-depressants often prescribed together to cross eliminate side effects. Methadone which was once only used in the rehab of herione addicts, is now a common street drug and often prescribed for various pains because it is so affordable. I am just sick to death of all this wallowing in the "horrors" of 9/11 that goes on each year -- this year even worse. All this does is stir up hatred for people who had no part in that day. It keeps our little moron behind the podium (and in front of uniformed troops) "explaining" to us how "safe" he is keeping us and that to vote for a Democrat would be to turn the world into some kind of a wimpy pinko communist tree-hugging welfare-state full of people who will raise your taxes and don't love Jesus.

Nowhere during all this wallowing in flag-wrapped self-pity do we ever ask ourselves WHY someone felt the need to do such a thing. Never do we ask ourselves was the loss of approximately 3000 civilians worth the deaths of many, many more thousands of innocent civilians in other countries as we bombed and bombed and bombed them. Not even to mention the thousands of our own troops sent away to kill in our names.

I never hear anyone ask what we can do to better get along with people in the world. Or why it is that we are incapable of respecting other cultures.But we can argue endlessly about building some truly ugly replacement towers and where the "memorial" will be so people can go and sit and remember (and possibly fan the flames of hatred), and how the names of those who perished will be inscribed, or if they will be inscribed and how they will be inscribed. I have no doubt that great arguments have even occurred with regard to the font that will be used.

We argue about what the "park" will look like and how it will affect traffic and residences. We think only of ourselves. We call it a "Freedom Tower" (of all stupid names) and we pat each other on the backs, and polish our guns, and talk big about killing ragheads whether they have weapons of mass destruction or not -- never mind that we, ourselves, have weapons of mass destruction (and with no intentions of ridding ourselves of them).

I wonder if 911 will ever become just an emergency phone number again. Well.... if it's a start, then let it begin with me.

AM....programming 911 into my cellphone for one-button efficiency and ignoring the day-long wallow that is occurring all over this blinded country.

A little excitement today. A power surge started a small fire just over the ridge which attracted all the water helo's and boy do they make a lot of noise when flying overhead. They fly right over us to get to the lake so they can make water drops. My windows were rattling and the floor vibrating most of the afternoon but they quickly put it out and all is well. When you live in the forest, even a small fire will scare the hell out of you though.

UPDATE: A fule tanker overturned on the highway up here today and spilled thousands of gallons of fuel. The highway is closed in both directions through tomorrow and the other main road up here is under constructions so it's closed to upbound traffic. Geez, getting to work tomorrow is going to be fun not to mention trying to sleep knowing all that fuel is out there and idiots who throw their cigarettes out the window are waiting at the bottom to come up. Study: Polar Bear Genitals Are Shrinking

The polar ice cap may not be the only thing shrinking in the Arctic.
The genitals of polar bears in eastern Greenland are apparently dwindling in size due to industrial pollutants, a new study finds.
Scientists report that this shrinkage could, in the worst-case scenario, endanger polar bears on Greenland and elsewhere by spoiling their love lives and causing their numbers to peter out.
In fact, all marine mammals could be affected by pollutants, "especially the Arctic fox, killer whale and pilot whales," wildlife veterinarian and toxicologist Christian Sonne at the National Environmental Research Institute of Denmark told LiveScience.
Arctic animals' bodies, which store large amounts of fat, carry extremely high levels of contaminants. Polar bears from northernmost Norway, western Russia and eastern Greenland are among the most polluted animals in the Arctic, as they feast on ringed seals and bearded seals. The blubber of these seals accumulates high levels of organic pollutants loaded with halogens, such as chlorine. These organohalogens can act like hormones.

The researchers experienced harrowing times on their dog-sled expeditions into the wilds of Greenland to study polar bears.
"One evening a bear came just next to us in the night when we were doing the toilette," Sonne recalled. "They shot and it ran."
Another time, "we almost had to eat the dogs as we ran out of food and seals. It was cold sleeping in minus 50 degrees C [minus 58 Fahrenheit] in five weeks with no heater."
The adult polar bear testicles the researchers examined were on average roughly three inches across and 1.8 ounces in weight, although they dramatically enlarge during the height of sexual activity from January to July.

Their bacula, or penis bones, were on average nearly seven inches long. (Most male carnivores and rodents have bones in their penises.) The scientists found the higher the level of organohalogens in a polar bear, the smaller the testicles and baculum likely were. Ovary size and weight among females also decreased as organohalogen levels rose.
Slow to mate Polar bears have among the lowest reproductive rates for terrestrial mammals.
Reducing polar bear penis size would thus make sex less successful, upsetting naturally slow-to-grow polar bear numbers, the scientists say. Testicle and ovary shrinkage would upset polar bear reproduction too. Future research should examine the effects of low levels of organohalogen contamination, Sonne said.
"How long do we have to go down in exposure levels to obtain no-effect levels? Is it possible at all?" he explained. Sonne and his colleagues reported their findings online Aug. 16 on the Web site of the journal Environmental Science & Technology.

(CBS) HOLLYWOOD, Calif.

Actor Bruno Kirby, who appeared as the sidekick in films such as "When Harry Met Sally" and "City Slickers," has died of leukemia, according to the entertainment news show "Access Hollywood." The show reports on its Web site that Kirby, 57, died Monday in Los Angeles. Kirby was born in New York City Bruno Giovanni Quicaciolu, Jr. Kirby's other credits include "We're No Angels", "Good Morning, Vietnam", "Sleepers" and "Donnie Brasco".

Imposters Played at Fair

The band that headlined the Butte-Silver Bow Fair last weekend is accused of masquerading as the rock group Redbone, which released albums in the 1970s and is perhaps best known for the song "Come and Get Your Love."
The band at the fair performed under the name Redbone, but the real Redbone was playing in Wisconsin, said Ron Kurtz, Redbone's manager.
"I've been in the business for 40 years, and I've never ran into anything this blatant," Kurtz said Thursday from his office in Burbank, Calif. He said the fair board was conned.
Fair officials dealt with a man who identified himself as Denny Freeman and said he was a co-founding member of Redbone.
Pat Vegas, who founded Redbone with his brother, Lolly, in 1968, said he had not heard of Freeman.
The fair board is investigating and will consult the county attorney, Chairman Dave Palmer said.
"The whole thing was fishy from the start," Palmer told The Montana Standard. Only two performers showed up at the fair, he said, and they claimed other band members were missing because they were sick with mumps. Local musicians filled in.
Palmer and the manager of Redbone said they had been unable to contact Freeman.
"He's on dangerous waters, because he's messing with my name," Vegas said.
